Movie Review - Joker

The feeling after watching this movie – Joker ……

When the Joker's trailer first came out, I was really looking forward to it, but the truth of this movie is very different from what I imagined. It performs a kind of spiritualism of villain worship, from the shadow of the villain to various unfair encounters. In the end, the morbid moment and behavior are shocking.

The joker dancing in the movie symbolizes the actual audience. We all know that it is a wrong behavior, but we are caught in a stimulus that is hostile to the system, plus sympathy for the villain story, and finally we even worship those who dare to be crazy but pitiful villain charm.

Although the joker played by Joaquin Rafael Phoenix are very eye-catching, I still think that Heath Ledger's joker is the most classic and the closest to my imagination. Therefore, I think this joker Joaquin Rafael Phoenix played is not that joker in DC comics. This Joker is more like a completely independent movie describing about despair. What he shows is not the personal background of the joker, but closer to every common person who is severely hit by the cruelty of the world, that is, the audience in front of the screen.

The joker in this movie is not a crazy evil genius, he is more like an unfortunate to the extreme orphans. An orphan abandoned by the world and hope, therefore he is not as crazy, clever or evil as a joker, but as chaotic as a joker, whether by himself or by his chaos.

The tempo of the movie is slow, and the suffocation does not make people breathless, but presses it to a low point. Although the movie has some places that I think can be deleted or detailed, the tempo of the entire movie deserves to be called still comfortable.

The cleverest part of the movie is that it constantly gives hope, but at the same time when you believe it, it will take away everything from you, and then leaves a ray of light to confuse you again. We were surprised to find that this is a false and true movie. The moment we were amazed was the moment when the joker collapsed, which was powerful but heartbreaking.

The opposite in the movie is Thomas Wayne who is always perfect in people's hearts. He seems to save the city and is regarded as the light that can change the times. In fact, he is still selfish in his bones, and only cares about his family members and the top members who enjoy wealth.

The smile of the joker is neither crazy nor scary, but it is disturbing. It seems that the sadness behind the smile is so broken. The dancing image is used to represent the heart, which perfectly explains the joker's inner struggle and the pleasant liberation at different timing. The Joaquin Rafael Phoenix’s acting skills are anxious. It is difficult to imagine how to adjust to come back after performing such a high-pressure character. His twisted smile is the most admirable and heartbreaking for me.

The scene that impressed me most was that when he locked himself in the refrigerator, every expressionless movement plus the static refrigerator made people feel the turbulent pain in his heart. He tasted the all darkness of the bottom of the world.

This movie doesn’t have a special climax, but it can bring endless rhyme. It is actually completely different from what I imagined, but through many smooth details and silent acting of the actors, it completely subdued my eyes and heart.

I highly recommend that everyone can go to watch this movie. The joker represents not only a villain, but also every frustration and darkness in our lives. The light and resilience of human nature can always be seen on the opposite side of the darkness and they quietly budding in the chaos.

Two Classic Movie Lines I Love:

★Is it just me, or is it getting crazier out there?

★I used to think that my life was a tragedy. But now I realize, it’s a comedy.
