★Synopsis
"The
Man Feels No Pain" is an Indian action comedy movie directed by Vasan Bala
and starring Abhimanyu Dassani. The plot tells the story of a boy whose patient did not ask for anaesthesia because he doesn't
feel pain, so he is often bullied by other students in school.
With the
encouragement of his grandfather, he was fond of martial arts and watched a lot
of action movies and videos to learn martial arts. One of the one-handed karate
masters fascinated him with a film, and then he decided to start a period of
heroic journey around the world.
★Personal
opinion
I
can fully understand the meaning of this movie. A boy who lost his mother at a
young age and everyone looked down on was full of scars, but he couldn’t feel
the pain in his body. The advantage born with no pain, he imagines that he can
also be like the heroes of the videotape to defeat the bad guys with
imagination against the world, to do justice for the loved ones, and find the
value of himself.
But the most interesting thing is that he really met some
like-minded friends, and a large group of villains who are willing to cooperate
with his inner world imagination. Such a naive and interesting story is
precisely to let the audience accompany Surya to make a dream of "everyone
will make dream come true with ambition".
As
an action comedy movie, it is not difficult to see that it deliberately pays
tribute to many classic Hong Kong martial arts movies in the past. Several
action scenes are filled with those elements. But maybe the director is very
satisfied with the action bridge of this movie, or maybe he can't bear to let
his carefully designed lens ephemeral.
He chooses to use a lot of high-speed
photography and slow-motion pictures to present the beauty of the actor's
action. It is undeniable that the technical level does have a certain level,
but from the perspective of the movie, it is just that it is necessary to
lengthen the movie that can be completed in 90 minutes to 135 minutes.

★Conclusion
On
the whole, although I greatly appreciate the refreshing feeling that a movie
brings to the audience through innovative thinking, I also understand that the
character wants to break away from the ambition of traditional action movies.
However, like Surya ’s fantasy theater in the movie, the director also only
lives in his own world, but the difference is that in reality, not everyone can
be like Surya in the movie, and follow this absurd story completely.
Of course,
all of this may just be my subjective prejudice caused by "I can't match
the frequency", but if you compare the similar types of "Kick-Ass",
whoever is more funny and boring in the two farce will immediately see it.
