"Sui
Dhaaga: Made in India" is an Indian inspirational love movie to be
released in 2020. It is directed by Sharat Kataruya, starring Anushka Sharma
and Varun Dhawan. The story is adapted from real events. It is told about the
sewing machine shop. Mauji was optimistic and cheerful, but made a ridiculous
appearance at a wedding, so his wife Mamta hoped that he could no longer rely
on others. After a fierce quarrel between them, Mauji decided to leave and run
a sewing shop of his own, starting with hard work and dedication.
★Optimistic
dreamer spirit:
In
recent years, Indian movies released such as "Sui Dhaaga", have
gradually departed from our only impression of Bollywood movies, which are
mostly singing and dancing and the joyful atmosphere in the movie is used to
create entertainment impressions. The directors have discussed the current
situation of Indian society and related issues. Whether it is gender, caste
class, education system, or the problems that India with large populations may
encounter in the process of social progress and economic development, these
Indian issues have become the directors more care about.

★Story
spindle:
"Sui
Dhaaga" focuses the story on the protagonist, Mauji, who has the talent of
a tailor but can’t show his talents. From his satisfaction with the existing
state of affairs, to the decision to follow the steps of the tailor grandfather
to start his own business.
Through many difficulties, he experienced in the
process, includes the relationship change between family members such as he and
his parents, his wife, and the persistence to his dreams and even reflects the
overall international situation, Indian customs and culture, and the social
system.
Because
he couldn't stand being ordered by his boss every day, he decided to run his
own business with his wife's encouragement and affirmation. Although he was
finally able to use his talents and move towards his long-term goals, he still
carried the burden of an economic burden.
When leaving the relatively
comfortable life circle and making the decision to move forward in an
unpredictable way, Mauji first encountered difficulties that his family didn’t
understand his choice and questioned him so much and so on. Then how did he
face and get over these.
This
reminds me of the movie "Ford v Ferrari" which was released last
year. It is also a story about a husband desperate everything to pursue his
dream. Although the protagonist was eventually hired by Ford, he has a stable
income that can support family operations.
However, "Sui Dhaaga",
Mauji must face the lack of business in the early days of self-made, and with a
certain level of strength, but lack of opportunities and performance stage, the
most important thing is whether you can get the support of people around you,
and whether you have a strong determination to reach your goals.
The
movie first used the mother's hospitalization to take a large amount of money
to be the difficult challenge, but fortunately at the same time, he received
the first orders to give him the motivation to continue. This is the reason why
although many parts of this story may be quite heavy, but it also shows that
even if people encounter difficulties, they still have to find a solution, or
change their minds and try to find another way to solve them.
The entire movie
is based on that through countless difficulties, Mauji was gradually given the
opportunity to grow, learn to get along with others, and the chance to affirm
himself, so that the audience could feel the effort of a little figure for the
survival.

★The Love
I've
always liked Indian movie use of songs and editing ways to present the
narrative of the character's hard work process. Not only does it deal subtly
with those relatively unimportant, but it must also exist to make the story
more coherent.
To some extent, it can also moderately satisfy the audience's
desire for songs, and take the opportunity to bring out the changes in the
character's mood and the core value of the entire story in the lyrics.
This
movie runs through the story with the gradually close feelings between the
originally estranged couple. The movie tells the dreams of the little figures,
but also changes the relationship between love and family. Just like the piece
of cloth turned into a fine dress in the tailoring industry, and the two were
tied together, so that the couple ’s love rose because of entrepreneurship, and
they found each other ’s real minds. In India, there is a serious inequality
between men and women.
Marrying and supporting her husband become a society of
unique value as a woman. It can be seen that "Sui Dhagga" has done
everything it can to tell the story naturally, while not forgetting the
thoughts the director wants to convey.

★The topic
"Fight
for the ideal, or compromise with reality?" This is the struggle and
contradiction of many inspirational movies. In this movie, Mauji and Mamta
pursue the dream of tailors and costume design, except to go through a family
revolution, the level of social reality is a test that can’t be ignored.
Therefore,
"Sui Dhagga" also presents the lack of resources and uneven
distribution in India, as well as the large-scale production of garment
manufacturing brings with the oppression to the survival of traditional
handmade tailoring.
In
addition, from the English translation of the movie's English title "Sui
Dhaaga: Made in India", it can be seen that the director intends to follow
the 2014 Indian government's promulgation to allow that there is a large number
of working people in India able to be combined with the "Made in
India" policy affirmed by the world.
In the movie, through Mauji, he was
dissatisfied with the clothes which labeled “made in China”, and he set up a
traditional handicraft team to defeat the plot design of the garment manufacturer.
India can carry forward its expectations on the international stage with
originality and quality.

★Conclusion
On
the whole, "Sui Dhaaga: Made in India " combines inspirational and
comedic rendering, not only through "needle thread" and a sentence
"OK!" To show people's insistence on dreams and ideals, but also
represents the relationship of the two main characters.
In addition, the
director still retains a description of the current state of society in the dramatic
story, and makes Mamta played by Anushka Sharma a great existence in a male-dominated
society in India and the love elements have also helped the movie a lot.
